Well Ive been looking around most of the summer for a lock box that will fit under the drivers seat with a roll out door. So Have yall found any that work or have built your own box under the seat. Im thinking about building my own now so Im looking for Ideas to steal R) . I was looking for good locking and latching door designs because Im going to want to be able to put my M4 and or my 45 pistols in the box if I got to go in some where. The way it is now I got to walk into stores with my AR15m4 slinged over my shoulder and a 45 on my belt when I got to go in to pay for my gas. I get some funny looks from ppl who dont know me lol.

Well, with gas prices these days you may want to keep doing that. R)

I've thought about the same thing. Its a good place to store tools, odd parts and fluids. I was thinking of making some boxes out of sheetmetal and just putting a fold down door on the front. Then get some flushmount door handle/latches that lock. My only concern would be having one of the fluid containers pop open and spilling everywhere in the box.

I have a bunch of HD file cabinet drawer slides from when I worked at Herman Miller. Have kicked around building some kind of drawer in the past.

This is a local guy I know. Loves the drawers hes made for both his cruisers. He can pack the back full of stuff and still get to all his tools on the trail. He even keeps his hi-lift jack in there.

Don't know how well that would work under the seats. I don't know if you could get the drawer open far enough.

I have a clear plastic tub with hinged lid under the pass seat. Not secure, but keeps water out.

You could take a lockable metal box and bolt it to the floor under the seat. My pass seat folds/hinges forward so I have easy access. Would you have the same easy access? (I am envisioning the box my Makita cordless drill fits in, if that helps yu visualize)
