Anybody have a picture of how they made the connection between the shift rods and the stick mounts?

I can describe it for ya....

The two doohickey that are sticking out of the transfer case are "half lapped" on the twin stick, and the levers fit in the slots at a 90 degree angle. I'll try to post a pic tonight if nobody beats me to it

I think he’s asking how to add twin sticks to a previously single stick case.

I’ve only ever done it (a few times) by mounting the shifters further forward. This allows the linkage to absorb the vertical travel needed in the throw. I’m curious to see others’ solutions.

Exactly, hoping there is a clever solution. I do have the doohickeys with the half-lapped portion I could swap out but was hoping to not tear that apart if possible.

Are you wanting use stock CJ style shifters? If so you would have to change out the shift rods.

It's a piece of cake. Pop the front assembly from the twin stick case off, and bolt it on the single stick case.

If you're looking to adapt a twin stick without changing the aforementioned "doohickeys" I have no idea hahaha

Crud I tossed a bunch of what ya need out near last Thanksgiving. Will look anyway. Might have the shafts. What's wrong with a single stick?

I would like 2 wheel drive low range, especially with the front locker it can be hard to steer in some situations. Guess I'll swap the doohickeys, although I don't have stock twin stick... sticks so will still need to make something. I'll figure it out.

    (y) I did pop the front cover off the twin stick case and put it on my single stick case, but all I have from the twin stick setup is the front cover and the doohickeys. I need to make some thingamajigs to go from doohickeys to shifters.

Member nickmil likely has the parts to sell you. I bought my twin stick kit from hime about 15 years ago. He has sold dozens of his kits on this board I imagine.

I say run a bolt upidy thru them there doohickeys. Then use two bolts on your shiftin stick. perpendicular to the doohickey and upidy bolt on to constrain the upidy bolt.

Or crossdrill the doohickey horizontally and use a master link to the shiftin sticks.

If your going to use the early twin-stick front housing, you really need to use the notched twin-stick shift rods like Ron shows. If your using the single-stick shift rails, your better off keeping the single stick front housing and fabricating a bracket like Ryan's link.
The way I see it, swap in the early shift rods and find the early twin-stick levers and just use all stock parts. Just don't toss those later shift rods if you do swap them out. I looked for a long time to find a set without a rustedworn seal area, and they're still not perfect.
