66 CJ-5 Tuxedo Park V
So much has been done to this... as quoted in the ad description, “A mostly stock” Tux. A bit misrepresented. It’s a Tux that has a lot of modifications from original, even bed liner added.
Kinda like this is a tux?
Yep the guy is confused and confusing about what an original Tux looks like. I read his add 3 times and am still confused about does it or does it not have original front and back chrome bumpers?
The reason it's different is the ad title - It's a "Mark V".
Thats not what the hood badge says!
Definitely doesn't have the Tux chrome bumpers like he says it has. Wrong windshield latches, this list goes on...
I’ll take your Tux and raise you $1,500...
1965 Jeep CJ5A Tuxedo Park
Like that one.
The red Tux doesn't look too bad, but there are no shots of it from the rear. It doesn't look to have the rear bumper, can't tell anything about the license light/bracket, and doesn't have the chrome Hall tail lights. The cowl side windshield hinges are not chrome, nor is the rear view mirror. And the hubcaps are certianly not original!
I'm nitpicking here, mainly because of the asking price. It should be perfect for that kind of money. It is a nice looking Tux, with many of the correct Tux features. At least it has the proper column shift!
Oh, these early MKlV Tuxes came in 4 colors; red, white, blue, and green.
I like the red Tux too. As Donny said, a few things incorrect, but a nice looking one.
I like what he did by placing a Tux hood emblem on the inside of the windshield frame, actually looks good.
I think that a sticker on the inside w/s frame. The "T" is the wrong font and its too large for a hood badge. Sort of like his "CJ5A" stickers on the body.
The red tux has odd JEEP stampings - in the wrong spot. Or are they stickers, and there are no stampings? Makes me question the tub...
I believe the ‘JEEP’ is correct but I don't know why he put a CJ5A sticker on there.
The red Tux looks good but not 16.5K worth. I agree missing some Tux parts and no Title is not good.
Yeah, comparing again I think it's just with the added CJ5A sticker it all looks wrong.
I think he was just really proud of it being a Tux and wanted to make that clear...
Jeep did the same thing with TJs. I pulled those and the "4.0" sticker off. Left the Sahara ones. For now.
Ah yes! I see that now. I do have an extra emblem myself, but don't want to drill the 3 holes in the windshield.
I’d love to find a sticker like that!
Be pretty easy to have one made. Any vinyl sign shop could do it.
