    I'm in the process of rebuilding a tcase from a 69....my question is, can the interlock pill be omitted on the single shift setup to get 2low the same as on a twin stick?

    You have to be able to move the high/low range rod independently which is why the twin stick is desired. With the single lever doesn't it have to be put in 4WD first?

    The shifting will be random and unpredictable without the interlock on a single stick. It relies on the interlock to guide the shift rails to the right position. That's why many folks convert to a twin stick setup. That and less to wear out.
