I am getting ready to instal retractable three point seat belts in my '76 cj5 soon. Does anyone think it would weaken the roll cage too much by drilling and bolting the top harness through it? Thanks for any input

I had a fab shop build my cage and install the belts. What they did was drill the cage, then put a section of round stock through (maybe 3/4"?), welded on both sides, then drilled and tapped that for the belt anchor.

Make sure that the top anchor point is +/- 10 degrees from the top of your shoulders. Best if you have a harness bar installed at the proper height.
(Now, where did I put that diagram ???)
