This Oil Canister Bracket Looks Off

    I pulled the oil canister and bracket off so I could clean the crap out and then get them powder coated. But the bracket has one corner that looks cut off. You can even see the scalloped edge. Is it really supposed to be square and for some odd reason the PO messed with it? Also, one of the bolts for the straps has a permanent mount versus the other 3 were bolt and nut. Is that correct?

    They tend to vibrate, fatigue, and break at the bolt points if not secured at the lower end. Looks like you've got one of those.

    I believe that's a yes. One I sent to Old time was built that way.
