Are wrong for my 225. Any idea what they are for? Notice the cut off corner on the bottom right.

I've googled plenty but I can't see any that are like them.

    Thanks!

They are 231 valve covers just like the title on the file states. Not sure what you're looking for here.

Argh. Microsoft makes it hard to link to an image. That's the folder the pics are in, there is a sub folder called 231. I will see if I can fix the link but there are two pics of bare valve covers in the main folder.

Ok. There was so much to sort through I almost gave up until I clicked on that folder. Doing this from my phone so I'm sure that had an effect also.

Yes! And I save a lot of money. I drive it to work every day so not breaking it is a priority, but I still do from time to time.

I'm wondering if those aren't for later 231's that might have HEI clearance issues.....

Early 231 OF before they went with the center raised valve covers. I think they kept that cutoff design for a lot of years which would be why it looks like the 252. Other than to distinguish the 231 covers from the 225 I don't think there was any other reason for it.

Thank you! How on earth did you word a search to return that information? I tried and found nothing, then I went to google image search and looked at hundreds and hundreds of images... Your search kung-fu is very powerful!

Now that I know what to look for, here's a picture showing the angled corner from a parts book
