Reverse lights were staying on so I put a socket on the transmission reverse switch on a jeep t18 and backed it out.
Was expecting to see a switch with threads but this came out instead.
    Couple questions:
How do I replace the switch? I put a vise grip on it just below the switch but it started to slip so I stopped.
Should one use locktite when putting it back in? Can’t believe it just slips into the top cover.
    Thanks 2E9B763B-137A-4A8E-9D77-17AF84131D40.jpeg

Took it apart, measured the depth in reverse, machined a new plunger and we have reverse lights D481D527-3E2A-4FE7-A680-3F64EAC204B5.jpeg
