Just thought I'd post up a new lift kit option for 4wd wagons - no connection to the vendor (the jeepsterman)....looks about perfect for a 235/85/16 tire...

pricey, but no other kit options are available, and the price is comparable to what I found researching Alcan custom springs. Always good to have more options. The vendor is reportedly working on a similar kit for trucks as well....

    Here is pic:

kind of wondering if the springs are existing OEM replacement springs from the usual vendors and just re-arched, thus causing the straight line eye-eye length to be a bit short and poor shackle alignment?

I think the vendor first put this up for sale in early march...so its pretty new. I don't love the shackle angles on the example pic he posted - so the custom spring set-up might still be the better option.

For the price they look like newly manufactured springs with thicker leaves and more arch. If they were designed using stock springs as a model then yes the eye-to-eye distance would be a tad short. Typically the geometry would be calculated so that the new springs would be a touch longer from the center pin to the ends to maintain the wheelbase and normal shackle angles.

I have Alcan springs in the rear of my Nissan, I did all the math for them to gain lift and load capacity and they worked out great. They are still on the truck 17 years later. When I did the axle swap I sent them back for a refresh with new bushings, friction pads, keepers, and a repaint but no rearching as they never did sag even with all the four wheeling (a lot of it with a lot of gear in the bed for additional load). The Alcans are worth it and honestly would not cost much more than those.

All that said the shackle angle is fine as the shackles are still short enough to not invert when the wheel droops out.
