So my folks were over last night...

And I realized that a '69 Ford Champagne Gold Metallic that I pulled off a Mach One Mustang is pretty much the same color as a '00 Chrysler Minivan...

Somehow the former just has a cooler sound when I say it...R)

Oh..and MsBoyink ran off with the camera this week...so I finally get to the point of shooting color and I can't post pics...

I like!! 8) I would like to see it next to Billy's for comparison

I thought you said Ford Champagne Gold --for some reason, I can't put my finger on it, but it looks like my neighbors 2000 Plymouth minivan. *shrug* Hmmm fold and store seats in a Jeep -- NICE! R)

It is a '69 Ford color...but when I held up my test plate to my folks '00 Chrysler minivan it's about a dead-on match.

It'll be a brighter gold than Animal...I think.

Round two - and done...with the interior anyway. Paint works much better when you follow the directions...

Actually it seems like pretty forgiving paint - even when I screwed up and shot way too much paint on the wheelhouse side it didn't sag or run.

...and every Jeep needs a matching guitar, no? ;) This is my $80 Target special -- was just kinda boring in black.

Funny...I was thinking of doing the exterior outside...R)

I thought I had the gun figured out but then as I got to the back of the Jeep it seemed to go wonky on me - either shooting too much paint or not enough. I ended up doing the dash, floor panels and guitar with the smaller touch up gun because it was more consistent.

Definitely going to switch to red primer for the outside stuff - shooting the gold over grey primer there just wasn't enough contrast.

Seat looks good. I have some green seats I wish were black. They are in good shape. I may have to try some of that stuff. I am guessing it will be cheaper that new upholstery.

    R)

I've had to explain that one independently to MsBoyink and Harrison too.

Once I get the FI installed, I can tap into the computer and switch the high-idle (making it think the A/C has just kicked on) so the alt will kick out more juice and my onboard air will run better. Or winch - way down the road.
