Daryl-Can you give me an idea why you think this is the "Best Ever"? I am sure not trying to argue with you, but just looking for your thoughts.

Disc brakes, power steering, 4spd, D44 w/locker. You could drive that thing pretty comfortably everyday. That's my take anyway.

    Dana 30 front axle
    Saginaw steering
    Flanged axle Dana 44 rear
    T18 transmission.
Almost everything that was so lacking in the older Jeeps was addressed.
One could make an argument for a 71 CJ5 with a 225 and t18 (which there were only about 250 of those made) but the Ross steering and a 27 kills that argument.
I have been using all of these intermediate parts to fix earlier Flatfenders and 5s and now the intermediates are getting hard to find.

Well, I guess Daryl is right.

I put a D30, saginaw power steering, SM420 and power disk brakes... So basically I made an intermediate out of my 2A?

Really nice, JEEP. I have to agree with Daryl's assessment and that great improvements were made. A 304 would be better but the I6 is a venerable engine. Was that yellow a factory color? And for the record.......I'm okay with these black wheels to offer the yellow.

I agree with Dave above, this one needs a 304! I still like the short -nose '71's better, but I'm biased.
