Stainless threaded rod, then cut to length.
Bolt, faster supply houses.

 

Idk what dimension you need, but Fastenal has had every fastner I've ever sought.

 

That threaded rod will no doubt be about equal in strength to a class 2 bolt. In an exhaust manifold application, it seems about perfect to have to drill every one of them out when they break. Unless you can actually find appropriate high strength stainless studs I think I would just stick with steel. And high strength stainless isn't cheap.

Check ARP's web site. They have all sorts of studs and bolts I believe are rated 180k.

Last SS threaded rod I bought was grade 8! Add never seize.
Stud don't have to come out, just the nut.,
Fastenall should have the studs.
Any stud better than a bolt, when it comes time to remove?
He'll, ARP, steel studs will outlast what oem used!

Anytime your messing with stainless threads due to the unique thread angle that is inherent in the manufacturing process and the fact that they are brittle.........( lots of info on-line) .........regardless of using stainless to stainless clamping or mild steel nuts or antiseize , wax Etc. they are just subject to galling and breaking anytime you need to remove them.........Peterbilt trucks have them everywhere on mirrors , exhaust , hood brackets Etc...........I have drawers full of stainless that we need anytime we have to disassemble any of those items.........in fact we just use a 1/2" gun and snap them off for disassembly..........costly Yes......nice to have the stainless up against all the polished aluminum and stainless components .........but not very cost effective on removal..............go ARP!

 

I just get good grade 8 bolts in the correct length. No problems with galling or breaking. I install with nevrseez and seem to have no trouble thereafter. Stainless is weak in my opinion and galls way too easy making for trouble removing later on.

 

Threaded rod..... scary when used in an application other than construction. Very cheap with crude threads.

 

if that stainless bolt breaks off next time . SS is a bear to drill
