Shims for windshield clamps, or...

I can't seem to find any shim stock to tighten up those clamps that hold up the windshield frame. Anyone got any they can spare or sell?

Another thought... been wondering, if I never intend to sit the windshield down, what about a fix to permanently fasten the windshield to the dash? Anyone done anything like that?

 

Jungle Jim's Willys Jeep Parts in Yuma, AZ, sells a kit to replace those clamps with screw-type knobs. Definitely not stock items, but they're supposed to hold the windshield in place much tighter, and you can still drop the w/s down if you want.

Thanks Randall! Those look like just the thing I need! If it were not for my soft top holding the windshield up, mine would be one of those they mentioned that "falls forward"!

Now I know what to tell my wife what to get me for my birthday! (if I don't buy it for myself sooner!)
