I'm rebuilding the Saginaw 525 manual steering box in my 1974 CJ-5, and the rebuild kit didn't include the little metal seal(s) that go on the sector shaft bearings. Does anyone have any leads?

Do you have a picture of what you're looking for ?
I've looked at an exploded parts diagram and I don't see what you are describing.

A little more is expected from you. Do you have the TSM? You could look at the TSM and refer to a part name and illustration.

The TSM is free to read and download here: JeepĀ® Parts Manuals online

    I w
I was unaware of this resource, thanks.

The seal I need is between the ball nut and the worm bearing adjuster. The parts are, from right to left: bearing race, bearing, seal.

Starting from the right, there's a lock nut, adjuster, cup, bearing, retainer, and ball nut. There's no seal in there.

Apologies, I meant the retainer. Attached is a photo of the original.

Mmm... I expect it's not considered consumable. Likely you can get one.

    What's wrong with this one?
