Facebook Marketplace: 1950 Willys Jeep - Cars, Trucks & Motorcycles - Springfield, Missouri
Is it a Jeep, or just in Jeep clothing?
I dislike the wheels more than the herculiner....a bit overbuilt for my tastes, but I do think a small lift will eventually end up on my willys
Wheels and tires can be changed in an hour. It'd take forever to remove that inside and out Herculiner. I know - I stripped it out of the interior of the CJ6 that I had. You'd get a bloody knuckle just brushing past it.
The tires are wider than I prefer, but the height looks good with whatever lift is on it.
Beats doing bodywork.
I think the dark stained wood paneling is pretty cool, but after that my taste drift a different direction than the previous owner
i dont hate it....
I liked that too.
I've actually seen this rig from the Highway - at that distance the woodgrain wasn't visible.
Upper radiator hose 21794 noted, I have a 4.3 with the same mustang radiator.
I hate that they didn't coat the underside.
I'm not sure they knew much on keeping the track bar level.
Like the interior lay out and seats, even the dash. Bed lined exterior is always a no go, deal killer for me. Sorry just don't like it textured. And I have painted two Jeep with it, but thinned out and laid on like satin paint. Comes out great.
All that authentic interior detailing and nice OEM chrome on exterior - why couldn't they do better on the instrument cluster?
Tires are a bit overblown.
I could work with it.
The question is what is it actually worth? Id say maybe 7 or 8k
Worth a lot more than that, nowadays.
Maybe not $20K....
I like it a lot from 10 ft away. I dont think the herculiner will age well though. On the east coast that wagon would fetch at least $15k
Strange idea not to use a classic painting with shiny nice color. Rear lights not nice too. A pity.
If the rest is in good conditions, engine and transmission he looses a good deal. No collector specialist will buy it at this price. Discount for full repainting.
