1971 Jeep cj5 renegade
Something tells me that's not a driver yet..
That’s got some potential
Maybe a 1970 Ren I with a 1971 title. very common for this to be done in that era.Early w/s frame. Possibilities .
Too early for 1970. Too bad several Renegade items are gone. It definitely has potential!
Looks like Ren 2 hood stripes, but it has a tailgate...
Just some info. --uncertain of its accuracy.
"A special run of 600 Jeep® Renegade II models with 200 each painted Baja Yellow, Mint Green, and Riverside Orange were produced in 1971. Also, 150 were finished in Big Bad Orange early in the run."
We have documented cases of early model year 1971 Renegades labeled as Renegade I with all the Renegade I characteristics. This does not mean they are 1970 model year. It appears to be that the transition to Renegade II actually happened shortly after the model year 1971 production began.
I kinda like it. Again, pictures not convincing enough for the money asked. But if its solid, would be a good start for $500 less. Cleaned up and good pictures may get asking price. Why do people fail to even try for good pics?
True. Jerry Reynolds says if you want to sell your car on the internet, you gotta have lots of good pictures.
Yes that's what I was pointing out .The w/s frame is 1967 or earlier. Another poor example of a Renegade /tribute/clone. Maybe it is a Ren I .I would not want it in my garage in any case.
I'd put it in my garage, I like it. If it was near me I would probably be out taking a look at it, even though it needs some work......
Mike not sure I would go as far as not putting it in my garage.................I have a hard time saying no to orphans..
I just have a hard time when people ask for someone's hard earned cash, but can't be bother to attempt pictures that show what I want to see.
I know I have a problem with orphans, but I'm getting help.
Yesterday I broke from my normal condition and bought a 66 LeMans.
I’d say it’s worth at least 2 grand. Depends on if it runs or not or what status of the engine is.
"A-Body"! GM's '66/'67 A-bodies were the Coke bottle design, one of the prettiest shapes of the decade. I've got a '66 Chevelle convt. down in the driveway.
You guys have at it. With four classics, three daily drivers,a motorhome and a 22' alum boat at 74 years I can barely take care of the fleet. But I do enjoy doing what I can and staying busy. Someone will have a great time fixing up that jeep. Merry Christmas to all , mike
Here is one from this morning. Feels like 5 degrees out right now. The YJ must have faced off with it last night in the driveway. You guys know how that pissing on the leg thing goes, my house first kinda thing.
And a couple from when I went to take a look at it.
Nice Goat !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They were the desired car back in my High School Days. They even had a song about the GTO-Ronny and the Daytona's which I think the song came out in 64 ish. In high school, I had a 56 Ford two door Ranch Wagon, it was all I could afford. At least it was better than walking, but not much of a "chick magnet". I had fun with it anyway.
