    Guys

Will a 1974 D44 fit on a 1983 CJ7? Figured to use wheel spacers, if it fits. I'm mostly wondering about spring pad spacing.

    Thanks

Nope the perches are skinnier on the 44 you could move the perches and run spacers the perches will end up closer to the backing plates.

Well darn. Have a NT44 local for $30, no backing plates and needs bearings. I would rather not store them "just in case".

Cut the old perches off and just weld on new ones? 30 bucks is like free... always the most expensive option!

I may grab them anyhow. Good barter material if nothing else.
