Rear Driveshaft & Front Axle Question

    Does the slip yoke on rear driveshaft attach to the transfer case or pinion yoke?

    My '67 CJ5 didn't have any front axle seals on the Dana 27 when I tore it down. I got new seals and the shell of the seal is .275" thick. The inset or reveal that it fits in to is only .120" deep. This leaves it .155" proud. Does this seem correct or is there a seal with a thinner shell?
