For those of you that don't know, for various reasons I sold my 1965 CJ5 late last year. I've since acquired a new project and it's led me to two conclusions-

    1. Every seller on Craiglist is a complete liar. :)
    2. I should not be allowed to purchase a used vehicle without adult supervision

Here's a picture from the original craigslist ad

The rest of the pictures can be found in my 1990 RRC gallery. Apparently they really mean it, when you read about purchasing a Range Rover on the internet and they recommend removing the rear carpets, floor mats and every thing you can to check for rust.

Yep, saw lots of that sort of thing when I was working for a Rover shop. There's a reason you can usually pick up relatively new Range Rovers so cheap on craigslist, it's either rust, or the air suspension went to hell. Great rigs, but their rust preventative was for ****e.

I like to think of it as a tool buying opportunity. :)

Mostly. I'll add some pictures of the inner and outer sills later week. I expect the sweepings pile of rust to be at least as big. :(

When jeep projects just become too easy, this is where you end up.

    You're gonna need this...

Really though, I always like the RR's. Super cool rigs. If I was going to build a family rig (which I will one day) It would be hard to decide between a RR, FJ80, or wagoneer.

    good luck!
