    Mechanical.
Electricity and brake fluid don't mix well.

Big discussion about these about a month ago, if you search the archive.

IIRC, the newer pressure switches are cr*p, but someone posted a link to a quality part.

Year, model, equipment? You should put that in your signature file.

    Looked at your profile. It's a '75 CJ-5, I presume. A CJ has a model 30 front axle, not a 35. I don't think the 35 has appeared as a front axle in a Jeep, ever.

The mechanical switch on the brake pedal that comes from the factory on a '75 works fine. Why change it? Jeep PN 3215939, Standard SLS84 More Information for STANDARD MOTOR PRODUCTS SLS84 also available from Wells. Both good brands. I'd avoid the Crown part.

I just had the "quality" switch fail on me after just a short time. I've resigned myself to considering these as a routine maintinence item...I keep 2 in my toolbox now :(

Buy a Wildwood hydraulic switch if you need a pressure switch. Cost a little more then the common junk. SUMMIT RACING carrys them.
