I painted the dash and the tailgate panel today. I may shoot one more coat on tomorrow. Got the HEI distributor in, but I need some shims for it. It's about 1/8" longer than the stock dist. and it bottoms out. It's from DUI. I did have to grind a small amount off the front corner of the intake manifold to get the cap on the dist. to clear. No big deal except the aluminum clogs up the grinding wheel a bit.

Put the tailgate filler in a couple of days ago. It turned out pretty good.

When I originally changed over to swinging pedals, I split the bracket in two so I could move the pedals apart a little. That didn't really work out, so I put the two halves back together yesterday. My firewall was flexing a little before, but I think putting the bracket back together will give it more support.

Thanks. It was supposed to be Sage and I guess it's pretty close. Kind of a gray green.

Today was my last day to work on he Jeep for the next 11 days. Looks like I am required to go on vacation with my wife. So, while Posi sits in the warehouse and wonders where i am, I'll be in Hawaii drinkin MaiTai's. Oh well, I guess someone has to do it. ; ) Here's where I left off.

Thanks posi. I didn't get as much WB as I thought in mine. From center of wheel to center or wheel is 90" on my 5. Should be alright though. As long and low is right, enjoy your vaca.

I was actually shooting for a little more wheelbase, but I didn't take into account the extra length of the YJ springs when I did my calcs. But I'm happy with how it's turning out. Any longer would have looked strange with the CJ body. Although I am using a '73 front clip to get a little longer front end.
