We've discussed this before in the forum. A quick search does not show much, but you may be better off making a YJ or TJ parking brake assembly work.

I have a foot operated parking brake assembly out in a project tub. I'll check it out closer tomorrow to see the condition. I think its out of a '72.

I went out to try to remove the foot pedal assembly out of my old parts Jeep. Its not usable. It looks like a previous owner couldn't get the cable unclipped from the bracket. They started with a chisel, and finished with a torch. The torchwork pretty much finished the brake assembly.
    Sorry -Donny

I have a friend that says he has several Wrangler foot operated parking brakes. They may be the same. I'll check into it if you are still looking.

I was only able to find one seller on eBay that had them. They were all original and you could tell. The one he sent worked though.

so i have been watching this and have another question. My roll bar is in the way of both the foot pedal and the E brake release handle. Didn't the early years have their e brakes operated by a "hand brake" set up? Anybody try to retro fit this set up on a later model?

You could possibly move the brake actuator to between the seats, on the floor. If you check the hot rod sites, there are many different aftermarket types including floor mount and under the dash. Street Rod Parts » Brakes » Emergency | Street Rod HQ The Jeep dash-mounted handle was a so-called "umbrella handle" IIRC and was meant to work with the transfer-case-mounted drum brake. I kinda doubt it will have enough leverage to activate the Bendix brakes as a parking brake.

Also - any discussion will be lost when the ad gets removed (I think), so the mods might want to move the last few posts to a thread in the regular forum.
