I know these are plentiful but I've never seen one for sale. If they bolt into a D20 TC that I'm using on my 3B I could use 2 of 'em? One for sure on my CJ5 w D18 TC.
    Thanks

A used one seems cheaper, but if you have to replace any parts like the bowl gear and planetary gears you can eclipse the cost a a new overdrive really quickly. It will end up costing more and you'll still have a bunch of old parts in it. The $800 rebuilds from Herm are a pretty good deal in that respect.

Around here, see used ones around here in the $400 or so range....I would assume all used units are in need of rebuild. I am kind of with Roy here after dealing with some issues with the OD in the cj5 when installing the Tera low gears - at one time I had 3 used ODs in my possession - I ended up buying a new unit from AA. I am not a big fan of Herm's - he was part of the issue with the cj5 ODs - but the $800 rebuilt unit may very well go into the 57 (if it ever gets that far).

I wouldn't buy a used one unless I could disassemble it and inspect the bearing surface on the planetary hub. Also, make sure of the spline count and tooth count.

i'd love to get one cheaper too, but i may instead go with different axle gears, along with a lot of other things i'd like to do.
