Looking good Patrick! Sorry I missed your post earlier. Glad the wipers worked for you. On a 3A, that is how the wipers get bolted on, but they are on the bottom the the windshield frame, so they park on the correct side, which is on the right. I like that wheel color with the green. Looks sharp.

The flatty tanks hold 10.5 gallons.

Looks awesome! I put some Dyanpro MT's on my MB for a better ride and more traction and like them a lot. I think the chevron pattern is old school and really fits well with the early jeep.

I have a set of Dynapro AT's on my truck, and they're great. These MT's are really nice looking. I almost wish I would have put a set on the TJ...

    Patrick,

I really like that tire carrier. Looks like it will do the job well, fits good with the tailgate and doesn't block the tail lights.

If you don't mind me asking, how is the hinge side mounted to the body?

It's just bolted on, with two backer plates. I added an extra plate to the hinge on the outside as well. It's solid enough. When closed, it's absolutely solid, no rattles or squeaks..

I packed the bearings, cleaned and re-greased the hubs and swapped out the LH thread studs on the driver side as well.

The guy I sold my CJ5 to 3 years ago recently sold it. He brought me back the tow bar, and the shackles off of it. These are rear lifting shackles for M38/ M38A1. I built some brackets, utilizing some existing holes in the front bumper..The tow bar fits in the brackets as well.

I'm currently in the midst of swapping the ill-fitting CJ5 gas tank for a poly tank from MTS...Pics soon.

It just keeps getting better! I like my MTS tank, except for the gas cap, which never quite sealed right...

I'd paint the tow "hooks" black, along with all the mounting hardware but, that's just me. I paint all that stuff black. I go by the Boyd Coddington theory: The first thing that catches your eye.....get rid of it or minimize it. But, these aren't street rods, now are they?

My work truck is another story. Stuff like that, which could be easily overlooked when removed from the vehicle and laying on the ground, I like to be able to see so I don't forget it and leave it behind. 2 different schools of thought I guess.

I could. But, that's not what I wanted. I can't imagine using any Boyd Coddington............ anything on an old flat fender Jeep.
But then, I installed my wiper motors upside down, so what do I know?

Can the park feature on your wipers be modified to work right without the switches. Never had one apart to look at how they work, could something be made or modified so they would park on the appropriate side?

I don't know...Maybe. But it's no big deal. The few times I've needed them I just used the driver side anyhow...
BTW, They aren't really upside down.

    :rofl::rofl: Yea. I
know I'm a dummy. Not hassling you man. I really like your work and your JEEPs, past and present. Just my opinion. Didn't mean to offend. As for Boyd's theory, I find it useful in many situations from auto stuff to around the house remodeling stuff. I'm getting the thread off track here though so, ...........
