Looks really complete and original. 1971 or late 70 so it already has Saginaw steering.

Jeepsters were misunderstood. Nice ride and still small like the early Jeeps.

Looks to be very solid; no rust visible in the rocker! That was a pretty rare model being a convertible Commando. I thought the Convertible was a separate model from the Commando. Yours has no beltline trim, and has painted bumpers. No turtle deck or "continental" spare tire out back that I'm used to seeing on Convertables? I'm guessing a (T14 ?) 3 speed?
    Looks really good!

A couple more pics-this thing came from the high desert in western Colorado. I haven't found ANY rust yet! There's no major body damage but a fair number of dings and dents...the RH rocker panel is pretty beat up. The seats were recovered at some point & the guy said the top is 10 years old. Even has an old school add on A/C! :D

Purchase is a one-time cost. And it's great - somehow I think the convertibles cross-over into the collector car market, despite being 4WD utility vehicles. It's a real convertible.

You could take that to car shows, no problem. A little cleaning and polish ... the rockers are badly exposed on these, and dents are common.

Is that an actual Kayline rack? I'd probably get rid of that. Does this example have the bump-out in the tailgate for a spare mounted on the floor?

It looks better in pictures than in person LOL. The downside of a dry climate is that it is tough on rubber or plastic parts. I think I'll have to replace every hose, seal and weatherstrip on it!
