well we got the rear axle mounted back under the jeep today with all grade 8 bolts. Then I checked all the fluids and low and behold the clutch was out of fluid, turns out that it was the master cyl leaking not the slave cyl so we went and bought a new master cyl, i mounted it and then found out that the pos didnt come with the stuff to bench blead it so now i have to go another 2 hour round trip to get a fn bleeder kit before i can drive it again UGH!!!

well the heep struck again. My father, paul and I were going to take a trip up one of the more difficult passes and spend the night, i forgot the name somethin like pe-chu-ski idk thats how it sounds. But anyways i am bumpn along in the jeep and takin some hard hits on some rocks and about 2 miles in i hit hard, the jeep stops. I started on again and heard a loud clang clang clang like my d shaft fell off, i look under and nope nothin so i keep on movin. I make it like this about 40 yards to where a good spot to pull over was and i got out to look, I notice that my trans mount which is brand new was trashed allowing my tcase to leen hard down on the pass side lettin my drive shaft contact my x member. So we open the hood to find that my pass motor mount sheered off letting the motor sag 4inches on that side, my oil filter is resting on the frame smashed to hell but ac delco makes a bamf oil filter cuz it still held oil, the only thing keeping my motor from fallin on the axle was that chain i installed on the driver side to reduce motor tourquing over which i didnt know at the time but was due to bad motor mounts. So we towed it with our other jeep to the camp site and stayed the night, froze balls cuz i brought two 0 degree sleepin bags and one for like texas heat and i got stuck with the whimpy one so i got no sleep. We wake up and leeve jeep at camp, return round 2 to tow it down the trail, hook onto it and get about 3/4 a mile and clang clang clang WTF now, i look under and the rear d shaft had over extended due to trans leen and fell off. So i pull that off and go down the trail to the bottom. I go to start my jeep to load it on trailer and click click wtf now, open the hood and since motor is leened it pulled starter wire to starter off the solenoid and the batt trey ripped the welds outta the fender so i get it started and finally the oil filter leeks loosing about 2 quarts by the time we loaded it and unloaded it. This is guna be fun to fix in the gravel with nothing but reg sockets, wrenches, a high lift, a jeep stock jack and some jack stands. Parts will be in tommaro we will see wtf goes next on the jeep.

I've had a trip or 2 like this, not so much fun at the time but it becomes a good story around the campfire on later trips.

My buddy has smoked two sets of the rubber motor mounts in his cj7 with the straight 6. First ones were factory and sent his motor into his radiator, changed them with OEM motor mounts, and the very next weekend sent his motor through his new radiator...again. So he bit the bullet and bought a set of MORE's. No problems yet and they are some wicked mounts.

well we tryed taking it up the trials today and didnt make it a half mile and the radiator hose that i told my father not to **** with hit the alternator fan and ripped through it, so we tow it back down the mountain and the rear drive shaft fell out because it was too short now that everything being the motor and the rear axle are back in place. Since the rear d shaft fell out it took the trans mount out with it, so were getting a new trans mount and goin to see if anyone will lengthen the dshaft cuz i dont have a welder or pipe up here. I know that there not supposed to cut/weld dshafts but hopefully someone will.

    shoulda known....
I had a few of my friends over and we took the jeep muddin, got it stuck in the tank a couple times and went through the sand pulling a 16foot trailer haha. Then one of my buddies i havent seen in a long *** time came over and i wanted to show it to him, so we went through the tank and then through the creek which is a very tough obstical for the jeep and yea the lower radiator hose bit the big one again, the radiator has some nice battle marks from the water pump and the motor has scooted forward. So now the question is which option do i pick??? solid mount the bitch or make my own custom mounts that have leaf spring bushings in them and wont let the motor move forward or back, i am guna pick the secound route due to how much the frame twists. runnin outta time

Sure looks like you are getting a lot of experience from trial and error. It's great to be young and challenging. Keep at it.
