These last little details seem more problematic than all the insane difficult stuff you did on this build

Nice cable wind on your winch..

 

It was a lot nicer until the winch handle broke

 

Today I dropped off the carburetor to get rebuilt at Steve's Carburetor in Lyndhurst. Supposed to be one if the best. I couldn't get the v6 to idle below 1000 rpm.

I'm getting a strong urge to try to trade my TJ for a 3B (my favorite jeep) lord help me

Made the pins for the rear seat bracket today out of 3/8" rod. Need to find some springs now

 

Good look at my engine compartment, which I believe is as close to how it came from factory that I can figure out



I got the new winch handle and tow hooks on. For some reason it's very hard engaging the winch, need to whack the handle with a rubber mallet, which is why I broke the last handle. Probably never use the winch but I like everything to work so probably tear into it this winter



My helper is not very interested

 

That's probably better than it came from the factory

Rear main seal # 2 ........fail

 

That’s a bummer about the seal, but how else are you supposed to know if it has oil? I’m pretty sure they leaked from the factory.

 

I'm starting to wonder if it's an oil galley plug in the back of the engine??

 

I took my rear view mirror apart. Blasted and painted it. Used some leftover welt rivets to put it back together. Will have my glass guy glue a mirror in it

 

Would this be considered Jeep compulsive disorder ?

 

Nope, only if you admit to it and you probably need at least two more.
