This time since Im way older now ......I payed attention to getting brackets square and measured the same. shouldn't be any added stresses.everything is within a 1/16",,,,last build I was ummmm way off ,rear springs out of parrallel almost 3/4". inside nuts will be tacked and all hangers welded and frame will be boxed.
    these are cj7 spring hangers

At my new wheelbase of 95" I noticed I am dragging my belly pan a lot more than before. No big deal if you plan your underside protection for it. Hope to see your 6 on the Rubicon trip next Summer.

my transmision X member (notice I spelled it out ,,,no tranny or trans)

needed to take my V6 mounts off my 5 frame since the 6 frame had none , to make SURE I installed them right I hoisted the works back in there to make really sure all was well BEFORE I really burn them in ,and while I was at it I installed the Xmember and drilled for it also (I'm getting so detailed with this build since I'm now 45)

I'll also fess up and say safety goggles are not so safe if they have breathing vent holes in them ,

that little hot sucker went right in there . SO today I took the darkening plate off my welding full helmet and just used the clear glass, when drilling up for Xmember holes .

Steel in the eye is certainly no fun; I found that out....twice. The "buffing" of the rust ring isn't too big of a deal, it's the wearing of the patch over a closed eye that bugged me.

The '6 is looking great! I think you'll really enjoy the additional wheelbase as long as you keep your breakover in mind.

Yes, good job. For future reference it's "transmission".
Maybe that's why people don't spell it out.:D

What's an X member??? If you could spell that out next time.... that would be great.

Just messing with you man - nice job on the boxing.

Just sayin', the line is going to be different. Sometimes you don't have a choice too. I'll get you some steering box mount info
    later today.

my first major problem with the 6 build

I logicly thought the factory would cut the cj6 section at the same spot , today I was all ready to make the final single cut and my tape measure does not lie. 4 1/2" on the tub cut and 5" on the fender vertical cuts. THIS seriously makes it dificult to do . the inner fenders still measure 35" but jeep chose to make 2 un equal cuts . don't really know how to fix this , I quess I could cut 1/2" off the red fenders and weld that to my fender but then that makes them longer . maybe I just need to stare at it some more ,why did Jeep do this .my first hurtle.

this can't be done with just 1 jeep tub , the wheel openings are not the same radius

so if you move the rear back to match opening it's too long?..... Otherwise you could use patch panels??.... probably haven't followed thread close enough to understand the issue
