M38a1 fuel sending unit.

    I am tring to figure out what I should do for my fuel sending unit. Would the original work even though I have converted to 12V, (would the voltage even matter if I change the gauge)? Currently I have fuel sending units for an early cj and one from a early 80's chevy truck, both will have to be modified to work, but if an original will work, then I dont have to fabricate anything, and I would keep the original look..
