I've watched more than a couple of the youtube videos. I know how to fix it, I just am having a hard time finding the seals because this is an OLD jack. The whole arrangement for the plunger is different than the ones on the modern jacks. I just need to find the right seals or packing and I have looked fairly extensively in line. The place the first hydraulic repair place sent me to hasn't been open for weeks and weeks.

I'm taking the whole hoist apart next week, I hope, when I'm off. Cleaning and painting and also trying to identify the make of the ram in hopes that it will lead me to the right seals.

Dave, Some of the best Hydraulic people around are down by you. D&R are an Amish Establishment, they open a 6am, if you get there early you can watch them start the generator to power up the shop. Great people.

There are several right here in the York area. Allied hydraulics. Penn Air and Hydraulics (who could't help and sent me the jack repair guy in downtown York who doesn't answer the phone or return calls).

Thanks for the intel. Sounds like it would the trip just to see the generator fire up.

I'm looking for a gasket punch set right now so I can try my own fix. Everything I like seems to be made in China or is used and damaged to some degree. The centering pin on the punch would be important to me for this job, having to essentially punch two holes with the same center to make the round seals.
