Locker Question

    I have been waiting for the Detroit Electrac locker to come out for the AMC 20. I thought I had heard is was released, so I went looking. All of the links that I had no longer work. So I did several Google searches, they only returned the old articles. Then I went to the Eaton site, and the electrac version is no longer listed. Have I missed something???? Does anyone have any information about the electrac?

    The Electrac was junk from the moment it was released. TracTec (the Detroit people before Eaton bought them) wisely quit making them after about two years. Eaton is making electric lockers, but availablity is still kinda limited, mainly GM and some Dana axles.

    Auburn Gear offers one for a AMC 20. Don't know anything about it. You might check with Sadler Powertrain if you plan to buy any sort of locker. They have super good prices and the shipping is lightening fast. I bought a Truetrac from them last week and they were great to deal with.

    I just checked on Sadlers web site and they don't show Auburn products. They are available on E-bay though.

    Might call them direct. Just 'cause it isn't on their web site doesn't mean they don't offer it or can't get it.

    Might also try Randy's Ring and Pinion.
