Would anyone know roughly how much lift I might have on my new Jeep? I want to drop it a bit but would like a starting point for reference. The tire size is 35x12.50 15's, 6" shackles, and has a 2'' body lift. Posted a couple pics below. I am not a "lift" guy so I am not sure how this adds up with the springs as well. Just trying to develop a game plan. Like if I had a stock Jeep how much lift to go up to 35's. I'd rather throw some 31's, maybe slightly bigger. I guess I could just pull it all off and get a smaller lift.

looks like a spring over axle lift . soa . 6 inches . I have the same problem . I think a 2.5 inch is more appropriate with smaller tires. you can probably sell the springs to get some money towards new springs.

Hard to tell, but I don’t think it’s a SOA. In pic 4, the tie rod is over the springs, and without a fancy custom high-arm setup, it would be under them. And judging by where the springs are in comparison to the tires in pic 2, They look to be headed under the axle.

I’m going to go out on a limb here and say you probably only have about a 2.5” lift. Combined with those tall shackles and the 2” body lift, it might get you to where you are. I’ll bet if you remove the body lift and put shorter shackles on, a set of 31s or 32s would look right at home.

It might help to post a pic from the front or back with the camera at the hight of the springs to show the arch of the spring.

Those 35's are going to tear up the body pretty quick if you do any wheeling at all. I would start out by changing to whatever tire size you desire. 31,32,33 whatever your fancy...... Like Itlksez above, start removing bolt on items until you lower it to desired height. After the tires I would change to a 4" shackle... that will lower it 1" all the way around. Depending on your new tire size.... the tire/shackle swap could bring you down 2-3".

I agree with the smaller tires. I'd say loose the body lift & go to stock shackles then see if you want to replace the springs after that.

35s are larger in diameter than the rear wheel openings. If you drop it much, the tires will hit the body. The tires will also hit the back edge of the front fenders. 33s are about the largest you can go without cutting or putting the Jeep up so high that the tires never enter the fenders.

I would also measure the compressed length of your shocks. Typically with that much lift, the factory shocks will be near topping out all the time. Then with longer shocks, you need to add a spacer between the axle bumper and the frame to prevent the shocks from bottoming.

Those are nice shackles. If you have access to a drill press or are good with a handheld drill you could probably just re-drill the holes and chop off the excess.

Those springs look like they may be BDS springs to me.. The number may be a 4WD.com thing..
BDS recommends a 31" tire combo with a 2-1/2" lift.
