Leaky side cover gasket F head

    Kind of an easy question - just wondering what is the best practice out there

    To seal a side cover gasket you guys put permatec gasket sealer on...

    A - cover only
    B - block only
    C - cover and block
    D - no sealer

    I use a gasket with a thin coat of gasket maker on each side.

    Wipe the cover & block down with solvent before assembly.

    If you put the sealer on the cover only and clean the block, it is far easier to remove the cover for valve adjustment.

    Guess I'll try with cover only with a new gasket - if it still leak then I'll do both side.
