I am trying to find new front leaf spring bushing replacements for my 56 CJ5. I cannot find the correct style of bushing for my jeep. I ordered what I thought would be the right bushings but they don't cont close to fitting. The brass bushing is 7/8"OD 1/2"ID X 1 3/4 long" and threaded on the outside, with a grease-able bolt. If I can find the front bushing, maybe I can also get the correct rear leaf bushing also. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The bushings you need are threaded? You have U-style shackles? I was going to suggest trying polyurethane bushings. You can drill them out to to whatever ID you need to fit your zirk-fitting bolts.

I have u style shackles that have left and right hand threads. But the front I bolt bushings have large threads on the outside of the bushing. I may have to get poly bushings to make something work. The bushings are pretty worn.
