Got some time in the garage to put in my kingpin shims and bearings and i followed Novak's instructions:
The Novak Guide to Jeep Closed-Steering Knuckle Repair

Now the issue I have is there were no shims or washers when I pulled it apart. it only wants one shim on each knuckle and I put it on top and it is at 15lbs pull. Should I have put the one shim on bottom since this is a pre 1963 Dana 25 or am I good to fill er with chocolate pudding?
Or do I need to get some 16ga washers to counter shim the top to get the .058 shim on the bottom?
The axle shafts seem happy, they spin freely and don't bind.

You've got it right. 15 lbs of drag with the shim adjustment up top. Don't sweat the lower shim thing. Since you obtained correct preload without them, you likely have the lower caps with the 0.058" built in. As long as preload is good and the axles are happy with the spindles on I'd run it.(y)

Oh, and no washers between the lower cap and the knuckle. You might lose all yer chocolate pudding. ;)
