Does anyone have pictures of the 15X8 Kelsey hayes wheels used on the Renegade I's? I could also really use the backspacing measurement.

I did a search. but most of the pictures in posts are gone.

Thanks for the pictures Patrick! Do you have any close up pictures and anything from the back side? Any idea what the backspacing is on those?

    Thanks, Mark

    paint for Kelsey Hayes

For paint: KH made a lot of wheels including the Corvette 15x8 in 69. They all probably had the same paint process regardless of which car they would go to. The vet guys are pretty AR about how paint is applied and their judging so in their judging manual it says:
'The wheel is painted an unusual silver color with a pale greenish hue. The inside of the wheel is painted semi-flat black and will show signs of greenish silver overspray. The wheel is suspended by a hook in the valve stem hole for painting and is painted quite poorly with runs and metallic sag.'

So for the Jeeps they were all painited one primer color. Probably semigloss black or gray. Then they got the outer color later. My '66 had an offwhite on the front and black on the inside.

Would anyone have a definitive answer on the backspacing on these wheels? I had a pair that I just sold and never took the measurement. I would like to get a set of the Stockton Series 20 Wheels for my newer CJ.

Also, I guess I could ask the guy I just sold them to to measure the backspacing. How do you get an accurate measurement for backspacing?

Would there be some type of official measurement somewhere from Jeep on these wheels.

    Thanks,

    Todd.

Here are some shots of the wheels that I just sold:

Those wheels remind me of the ones I got from Dick Cepek in the 70's. They came with a set of 10-15 Gates Commando's mounted on them.

Yeh, I was happy to find them. The one guy I bought two from thought he had a couple more but couldn't find them while I was there. He called yesterday to let me know he found two more so I think I'll be running over to pick them up in the next couple of weeks.
