    I was looking through old Willys Overland factory pictures online and I came across this one dated 1953:

    Looks an awful lot like they were looking at ways to update the CJ3B by using a 2A grill and sloping the hood down to it so that the F-head would still fit.

    That really could have been the end of the Jeep brand had it made it out the door. Glad conventional minds prevailed.

    It would make for better road visibility, but it's ugly...

    Maybe they could have used Land Rover's invisible hood...

    You would have had to have mounted 300lb's of camera on the roof

    & cabled it up the enough semi trailers

    to fit about a thousand of these

    into & the genset big enough to run them.

    Also a truck to carry the spares-

    a bus to carry the maintenance technicians-

    & of course catering vehicles bringing up the rear.
