    Mitsubishi made a High-hood CJ with a diesel engine.
    The J3 became the JC3 with the fitment of a KE31-11 Mitsubishi diesel and the army brought one over to drive around on logging roads in the USA and see how they liked it.

    Not sure if this has already been posted, sorry about the redundancy if it has.

    interesting read. wish the pics were better, and color, but hey, its a xerox copy of a document from the 60's. very cool though.

    Cool article. interesting on the startability of the motor in freezing conditions and how changing the oil grade helped it start.
