Ignition Key Gas Cap Key Confusion

    As the title suggests my ignition key and gas cap key are made on the same blank and sometime when in a hurry I try to start the Jeep with the gas cap key or open the gas cap with the ignition key. I have "notched" the gas cap key but I am not always paying attention. I am wondering if it is possible to 1) to modify either the ignition switch or the gas cap so that one key will operate them both or 2) modify one of the key to act as a "skeleton key". It would be nice to reduce the key ring load by one key. Suggestions?

    Re-key the gas cap to the ignition key. A lock smith should be able to do it...

    Electronic push button ignition in the dash will solve the problem. :sneak:

    The button fit right in the keyed ignition hole without any drilling. If I ever want to go back to a key...All my wiring was done cleanly as not to ruin the stock wiring. (y)
