I Need A Roll Cage....

    i know we are all jeep guys and all but im also a die hard Ford man... im trying to finish a 1969 Ford Bronco and set it up for trails and tuff truck and maybe a lil rock crawling.... now i need to build a 6 pt roll cage but im not sure how to mount it to the frame bc the frame rails are about 8 to 10 inches inside the body... similar to a JEEP... now im sure someone has done this b4 and can help me... PLEASE GUYS I NEED HELP... IM A STUPID FORD GUY....

    Hang on, I know someone with an EB.

    I think he has a roll cage in it.

    My good friend BroncoJohnny is also building a '69/302. He just added power steering, Herc'd the interior. It has a rollbar, but he'll eventually want a cage.. I'll be interested in this info too, to pass along to him. :)

    i have a 77 eb with a 6pt cage, but in not mounted to the frame. i just beefed up the floor at the mounting points. i have read some articles on cages mounted to frames but can't seem to find them at this moment. i will pass along some info as soon as i find it. you can look at classicbroncos.com forums, pretty extensive info there.

    i could not find the original article i was thinking of but these guys are selling the same basic thing. http://www.completeoffroad.com/index.php
    i like this system because you can still remove the body if need be. let me know if you have any other questions.

    Build bars that angle from the frame up to where the cage bolts to the floor. Mount as low on the frame as possible to get the greatest angle. Gusset the bar to the frame and gusset the other end to a large plate at the body. Then bolt the cage to the plate under the floor.
