E94B6CED-7EC0-423F-AA4B-8912CCC0782D.jpeg hey all as I continue my rebirth of this Jeep I have another confusing piece. Not an expert but I haven’t seen these tail light shape before.

    Anyone?

Doesn’t seem to be a 63 CJ5 at least. You can what the tub had cut and what the PO did.

That light looks like a YJ era.

The rectangular lights are '76 and up.

'63 should be the Hall tail light. I thnk you can buy repops from the Jeep retailers like Walck's. Looks like you have a big cut-out. Maybe somebody can give you a pattern to fill it in.

Can you post a better pic of the cut out area?

Im with Pete, that light you currently have is a YJ/TJ or commercial truck body type light that someone has cut down.

The more i look at it it looks like it was a PO cutting...The top hole where the current lights are attached and feeding wires looks like more original...but who knows...i dont.

Those upper holes look correct for clear backup lights, similar in shape to the amber front turn/running lights. The big hole is a mystery. Is the other side cut out the same?

yes for other hole...I agree the other holes, besides the wired one would fit the correct date style Hall Lights when i looked them up. 1010_5325_popup_1.jpg
