Is that for sure a 225? Never seen a 225 with a sensor or anything there. Kind of reminiscent of a 231.

It's a 198. I was wondering if one of them was a hose connection to the small water pump hose.

Ok, so i went out and checked. This is a different intake than my stock Buick one, but connects in the same places. Mine is a 225 from a buick skylark 1965 or so. Top inlet for intake comes from the water pump, bottom is temp sender.

Great! That helps a lot! Is it safe to assume you do not have a heater setup?i think yours was set up to bypass a heater core.

Yeah, no heater. No top either. gets real cold when its snowing. gotta hide behind the windshield:p

My engine was never in a jeep. The owner told me it came from a 1965 buick skylark. he also told me it ran, which is true because how else could it have 2 lobes missing off the cam and a couple crushed lifters?R)

Sometimes holes get plugged with whatever is available kicking around the shop.
