I started trying to tidy up my under hood wiring and gave up for now. It is all there and works, just not as neat as I would like.

My computer recently went to that big computer desk in the sky, so I lost all my coveted jeep reference pics, most of them pulled from this site. Got me a Dell, sure works good, plus I got a CD burner now, so no more lost pics.

Sooooooooo, would someone mind posting some pics of the driver side fender wiring? Looking for the factory setup here, not custom. Mine will be a little custom (outside the frame headers may need some rerouting, relay for horn, trailer plug in rear light harness for plug in to a tow vehicle, etc) but want the factory routing to start with. I plan to keep the 3 wire terminal at the front of the fender near the horn, so any pics from the firewall to there would help.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello

I noticed your post about doing some wiring. I have rewired several jeeps and a good place for some info is this site.

    http://www.film.queensu.ca/Cj3b/Tech/WiringHarness.html

These are the CJ3A jeeps. Which the wiring is almost the same as the CJ5's Could probally help you understand some of the things you want to read up on. They even listed one of my wiring tips . Not that my tips are all that good. But it was indeed cheaper than off the shelf wiring harness.

Good luck let us know how you come out on it.

And thanks for being a Marine and helping to keep our country the best place in the world to live .

    Regards

Thanks for the pics Don, that was just what I was looking for! Don't anyone be bashful though, the more the merrier!
Scott, do I see hydraulic clutch and power brakes on an early CJ? And is that a 4.3? Some hours invested there, nice job. And a radiator overflow, been thinking about adding one of those, where did that one come from?
Cliff, thanks for the reminder on that site, I had seen it before but lost it from my "favorites" when my computer crashed. Great info on that CJ3B site. And your very welcome.

Alan, thank you, good to be back. The Corps has me pretty busy lately, about to go out for some training right after the 4th. Also recently took up outrigger canoe racing with a six man team, really a big deal here in Hawaii, so that is taking some time also. My new computer and DSL is making cruising the net a whole new ballgame compared to the antique and dial up I was using. Still, I seem to find time for a little quality time with the -5 every once in a while!

Did something change for uploading pics, it doesn't appear to be the same, but its been awhile for me, please advise!
