Walck’s has very nice reproduction glove box doors, with the arm bracket.

The Willys wagons and pickups use the same door-another source.

Anyone have knowledge about the difference with the doors as some seem to have the limiting hook and some not?

Without the hook you can bend you hinge down too far and the door won't close right. I would try and find one with the hook if you can. Good Luck.

I think so, i have seen them without the hooks, or the studs to put the hook on. I used a 66 dash and it had the hook and a locking button. But my 64 didn't, that is how I found that you can bend the dash and door won't close right. LOL.

Anyone have any pics of where the hooks connect and/or the differences in the doors?

I just went and looked at my 64 Dash, the problem you are having is the 64 didn't have the hook to start with. There is a slot in the 66 dash for the hook to go through I think. My Jeep is not here for me to look at, but I know it is a 66 dash and has the hook. You may be able to cut the slot for the hook with a Dremel tool in your dash, I can't recall what it looks like now. Good Luck.

Thanks. Yeah i will probably just go without the hook but would still like to see the differenced. My dash does not have any slot. Must have been a later design improvement?

the hook goes threw the cardboard box on one side ( slot in bottom of box)
the middle screw on side of box is what it will hook to when open
I'll try and get over to buddy's house tomorrow for picture
unless someone here beats me to it :D
the hook thingee only fits glove box lid with the studs

FWIW - my original '56 glove box door has a stud and an acorn nut on the inside of the door to hold the hook (which has been removed by a PO, I presume). My cardboard box (also original) has the slit and the right door hinge itself has a flat "spring" to keep tension on the door when closed and latched.
