Were these hoses off the shelf or custom made? I'm digging through your build thread now.

When I bought the whole setup the guy gave me new hoses that he said went with it, not sure if they were custom or what. I had to cut and reflare the pressure hose at the pump side since it was too long for my application. I don't have any idea how I got the fittings switched at the box tho. I'm a hack, good thing you guys are generous with the knowledge. I'm hoping to get some time today to switch them and test.

I found a pic of your box. Those ports sure look the same from here.

Haha! Page 9 of my build thread shows me connecting the pressure hose to the wrong hole. But look how nice it fits. Am I using the wrong hose for the pressure side? I wonder if I cut and flared that hose to make it fit, that would be ridiculously embarrassing.

You can clearly see two different sized fittings on my ps box. I think one is a 5/8” hex and the other is 11/16” hex. The rusty one is the return. Both are the same size tubing, 3/8” I think.

Could you have switched the threaded fittings when you cut and re-flared the tube?

Are you sure the rusty one is the return?

Yes, pretty sure that's what I did. I just switched them and.....

I'm out of power steering fluid. :n:

    Here's my 3b:
It's pretty obvious which is which on this one. Where's that chainsaw emoji? That return is a mangled hose that's hose-clamped to a knurled fitting that's tapped into a bolt that's teflon'd into the housing.

HA!!! Power steering in a Jeep is the coolest thing, what a rush. But wow my power brakes are soooo touchy, just barely tap it and my head looks like I'm doing a jig to a rap song.

I’ll double check. It was years ago when I built that one.
