Does anyone have a source for a three position rotary switch for the heater fan on an early 5?

Post a WTB in the classifieds. I bought a complete heater control unit from a member here a while back.

I am interested inreviving this thread. The switch in my 70 CJ had the terminal plate broke into 3 pieces. Actually fabricated a complete plate today, terminalsand all. Came out ok as a prototype and I don't forsee and function issues. Need some help so I can prototype a nearly oem terminal plate. Anyone??? Focker, can you PM to discuss. Have lots of pics from this build to demonstrate proof of concept. I know lots of jeeps have this problem. Might be able to supply.all!

Would these old heater controls work on a Mojave heater? Or other modern heater? If I’m going thru the trouble of installing heat I want Heat.

I'd think your Mojave heater would come with its own controls. The Mojave installation manual is probably online at Summit.

Here's a sample part for proof of concept. I made the board from an old computer board. Already had the brass rivets. Took terminals from an old toggle switch. Need to shorten the rivets then peen. My plate was in 3 pieces to begin with thus it is a little crude. Should be an easy process. CAM00409-1-1.jpg CAM00411-1-1.jpg CAM00388-1.jpg
