Hello, thinking of purchasing a hardtop for my 63' CJ5 (at least thats what it is registered as). Are there CJ5 year differences or will any CJ5 hardtop work.

55-75 will interchange. 76-81 is different. It is all about the windshield. The 76 and later windshield is swept back further.

If you find a hard top and have any questions posting pictures usually results in answered questions. :)

Not to hijack this thread, but will a half hard top fit with a rollbar already installed?

My guess would be probably not but others will know for sure. I doubt it's cut and dried as to yes or no. Go ahead and start a new thread so we can keep this separated.

Unfortunately I don't know where the back wall of a half cab ends up. I know that the usual installation location for a roll bar at the Jeep dealer was slide forward until it contacts the tubes in the top rail of the Jeep. That's as far forward as the roll bar will go, as I recall.

You can install a roll bar further back, so it may be possible to have a roll bar even if a half-cab is installed. But you may not be able to install one if the bar is already in place.
