So I have a plexiglass replacement and seal ready to be installed on my CJ5 hard top.
My question is what goes first?
Does the seal go on the plexiglass first and then try to pop it in or does the seal go on the frame first and try to pop the plexiglass in first.
I have tried both...this is not as easy as I thought it would bechainsawguy

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Seal on the glass. Small rope or nylon cord into the gasket where it goes onto the frame, overlap the ends on the bottom. Set glass&gasket into the opening, bottom edge first. Center in the opening, and while helper pushed in on the glass, pull the cord towards you to pull the gasket over the lip. (you and the ends of the cord are on the inside). Work to the corners, up the sides, and finish at the top center. Dish soap or other lubricant helps alot. With plexi you can use a little more force cause it will flex more than glass before it cracks.

Hmm. I've always used Sidscj's method but put the seal on the window frame first. Used to do this on heavy equipment cabs and has worked for me on Jeep w/s frames.

I put the rubber in the opening first.
Here are some pictures of the install.
