    Supposedly their new drill line was designed/engineered by a former Dewalt employee.

    That’s interesting since they’re actively copying the design look and flair of the Dewalt into their new Hercules line.

    Excellent review- I've been around electronics & tools my whole life, I know, at least intellectually, everything he's talking about (excepting the plastics stuff) but it's a real object lesson to me that general knowledge does not equal expertise, I learned a *LOT* watching this.

    Pretty interesting review. I would say the materials revolution (rare-earth magnets Rare-earth magnet - Wikipedia ) - quite a recent development, ca 1970-1980 - that makes these drills possible. I liked the analysis of materials and construction.

    (cough, cough - teal).
