Please someone go buy this so I won't be tempted...
1946 Willy's Jeep CJ2A
Call Glenn. Glenn is that you ? Nice Jeep. No information about engine....
That would be a nostalgia trip for me. From the mid-1970's at Canon City, Co. Drove it to MN.--1200 miles
you know you want it
Sounds like you’re already tempted...
Just do it.
Thats a real nice early 2a. Looks like it was column shift originally.
The first thing I would do is chuck that half cab though..
I have a 50 year old CJ and a 70 year old Willys pickup demanding my attention... I need that thing like a hole in the head LOL
I hope to find one like that once I get the kids through school. It's hard to justify the CJ5 already, let alone another.
I don't think that ad will make it through the weekend at that price!
I just noticed that this one has a full floating rear axle, making it a very early 2A.
Or someone stuck an MB axle under it....
I have that top.
Wouldn't be for sale if it was mine.
Has all the early stuff- tool indents, top bow pockets, full floater. Can't tell for sure if that's a column shift but I think all of the VEC were.
The full floater was a 23-2 like the MBs but in 5.38 vs 4.88
Many earlys titled as '46 were actually built in '45 since it was dependent on date of registration and not date of manufacture. My '46 titled VEC was actually built in Oct of '45.
NO - I have more projects than you do Doug...
